Shaan is the founder and CEO of uExel Solutions PVT LTD, an IT solutions technology company based in Islamabad. He is a software engineer (graduate of GIKI Institute) by profession, but his passion for social change has already awakened the social entrepreneur inside him; he has co-founded the uElect, which aims to promote and support interactive democracy and engage with youth in democratic activities and legislations through new technologies. Shaan also advocates freedom of expression and open internet. He serves as a motivational figure for the community, especially for the youth of his area, i.e., Gilgit Baltistan. He delivers lectures and keynote speeches on the digital economy, the utilization of information communication technology, and social media for social good at various universities and colleges, workshops nationally and internationally. He is a Professional fellow at the U.S State Department and represented Pakistan at UNAOC (United Nations Alliance of Civilization) summer school as an emerging young leader of the world. As alumni of the Swedish Institute Leadership Program, he has headed as founding president of Sweden Alumni Pakistan.
