Our Purpose – BIBI THANJUR FOUNDATION

To promote access to quality education, especially for girls, by offering scholarships on clear and transparent criteria and procedures.
To enable opportunities for community education by establishing learning centers, mentoring schemes with colleges and universities, and internships with selected organizations. To enable information media such as the internet, libraries and information centers to further promote community education.
To promote physical education and sports opportunities for the physical and mental development of young people by identifying and partnering with individual volunteers, education establishments, and organizations.
To identify and promote training, especially vocational training, and life-long learning by developing partnerships with organizations and educational establishments in the region and the country.
To support and participate in research endeavors to add to the collective knowledge and understanding of specific areas of study and expertise in the region.
To encourage and promote learning and development opportunities for all individuals contributing to the Foundation’s objectives, including Volunteers, Management Committee and Board of Trustees; to further develop their competencies and understanding of the objectives of the Foundation, its cultural environment, and prevailing external forces that could help or hinder the Foundation’s objectives.
