Mission and Values

a. Who we are:
Bibi Thanjur Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control Ordinance XLVI 1961) for the overall purpose of providing equal and transparent access to quality education for the underprivileged in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan & Chitral, Northern Pakistan.
It will thus run on a non-commercial and non-political basis.

b. What we do:
Together with our supporters, our donors, our volunteers, our partners, and educators, in Pakistan and abroad we raise and manage funds, donations, grants, and endowments, including property, from lawful sources, for the sole purpose of furthering and promoting the objectives of the Foundation.

c. Why we exist:
Our Mission is to provide easy access to quality education opportunities to underprivileged children, especially girls, by offering scholarships and developmental opportunities for them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

d. Our Values:

Transparency – all actions taken and decisions made will be in the beneficiary interest providing clarity on fairness and openness of these decisions to all stakeholders.
Commitment – all persons associated with the work of the Bibi Thanjur Foundation feel passionate and feel compelled about the Mission, the Values, and the objectives of the Foundation.
Diversity – all actions taken, and decisions made will be irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, ability, age, religious belief, or political conviction.
Inclusiveness – all voices are heard; the Foundation strongly believes that all persons associated with the Foundation have a contribution to make and encourages opinions, views, experiences, and philosophies to be shared with others.
